Roadmap for Deployment
Interest in LTE is growing. LTE is now widely
being considered as the technology of choice for 4G networks worldwide.
According to the Global Mobile Suppliers Associations, at least 26
operators have already committed to LTE as of March, 2009. Although LTE
is a promising technology, operators will be facing new challenges and
requirements associated with the upgrade. There are also a number of
burning questions and issues to address: How is the standardization
process and early trials of LTE coming along? What happens after
operators make the big leap? Will there be enough new wireless broadband
applications, devices and users to drive revenue for operators? Where
will the best bets be for growth and business opportunities in the 4G
world? How many of China's 700 million mobile users are ready for 4G?

Why Attend
For attendees convening at this timely summit, it's an opportunity to get together with the best, brightest, and most informed experts to explore all the pieces and solutions in one place. The discussions are to provide a basis for policies, planning and decisions operators will be making in the days to come. Come discover what's new and make your connections with influential decision makers. Your time will be well spent learning and discussing key topics including:
• Business case - what makes LTE so compelling for operators and users?
• Timing – when does it make sense for operators to make the switch?
• Market outlook for LTE in China
• Regulator's stance on 4G - licensing and spectrum availability
• New applications and services LTE can enable, plus their users and revenue opportunities
• Maintaining voice quality and QoS with LTE networks
• Success factors for China's self-developed TDD-LTE
• Alignment of TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE
• Status of China's Wireless Internet Protocol on Internet Service (WIISE) technology for 4G
• Impact of LTE on operator business and strategies
• Criteria for deploying LTE successfully
• Current state of LTE readiness – chipsets, modems, handsets <<<< add
• Preparing the backhaul for LTE - solutions to backhaul challenges and costs
• Antenna, power and other infrastructure support needed for LTE deployment
• Options for enabling voice and SMS services on LTE’s all IP core <<<<< add
• Support for roaming
• Backward compatibility with legacy circuit switched systems
• Migrating from CDMA, UMTS and TD-SCDMA networks
• 4G terminals - availability and development of LTE handsets
• WiMAX and other alternative/complementary technologies for 4G
• Role of Femtocell in the 4G era
• Embedding LTE into consumer electronics and other devices
• Licensing and IPR for LTE
• Advanced radio architecture and technologies in LTE
• Ongoing LTE trials around the world
• And much more!
Who Should Attend
Organizations that will derive the most benefit by attending include fixed and mobile operators, telecom R&D institutes, service providers, regulators, investors, infrastructure equipment vendors, mobile Internet application developers, mobile handset/device manufacturers, component suppliers and chipset makers. At the China LTE Summit, we'll endeavor to bring together these groups and the best minds in the industry from around the world as they turn their attention to LTE. Register today!
